Walker Éireann, an imprint of Walker Books, has recently teamed up with Foras na Gaeilge to bring readers four of their best picture books created by some of Ireland’s foremost book makers, in Irish. This book is called Ar Strae Beagán (A Bit Lost) by Chris Haughton. Uh-oh! The little owl has fallen from it’s nest….. This book has won the Bisto Book of the Year Award and the Eilís Dillon Award for best children’s book. A stunning literary and visual children’s book. It has been translated by well-known author and illustrator Gabriel Rosenstock.

Chris Haughton is a freelance illustrator and designer from Dublin. In 2007 he was named as one of TIME magazine’s DESIGN 100 list for the work he does for Fair Trade and People Tree. His debut picture book, A Bit Lost, was the recipient of Gold in the Children’s Book category at the Association of Illustrators annual awards and also won the Childrens Books Ireland 2011 ‘Book of the Year’ He has also won the 2011 Marion Vannett Ridgway Award, Dutch Picture Book of the Year and was named one of the Booktrust’s 10 Best New Illustrators.
