RDS Seeks STEM Facilitators

by admin on 18/10/2012

The RDS is calling for Expressions of Interest from primary school teachers wishing to join a pilot group of teachers who will help to develop and deliver a new teacher education programme in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). This pilot professional development programme will place a strong emphasis on innovative, hands-on inquiry based approaches to teaching and learning science and maths at primary-level.

Full details of the STEM Programme, Facilitator Criteria and the Expression of Interest form are available from www.rds.ie/stem. An Information Evening will take place in the RDS in early November, please contact Karen Sheeran on 01 240 7289 or karen.sheeran@rds.ie if you or a colleague are interested in this opportunity.

This programme is an initiative of the RDS, in partnership with St Patrick’s College of Education and CASTeL, DCU and is being developed to support the existing Discover Primary Science and Maths programme.
