Nollaig ShonaI know it a bit early to mention the “C” word (Christmas Shhh!), however teachers may be interested to know that Nollaig Shona, the new Christmas Resources website from Seomra Ranga, is now online. The site has been in planning and development for some time and we’re delighted that it is now ready for public view. At the moment, there are almost 300 resources on the site to help teachers with classroom planning for the Christmas season. There are posters, flashcards, lined pages, music resources, Powerpoints, quizzes and lots more. There are also lots of great links to other websites, especially resources which are suitable for showing on the Interactive White Board (IWB).

I understand that it may be premature to be mentioning Christmas before we’ve even finished with Hallowe’en, but I was conscious that many teachers may be doing some preparatory planning for December over the mid-term break, so I really wanted the site ready before Hallowe’en. It’s been a bit of a rush to get it all together in time, however, we made it and it’s now online. I hope everybody will like the new site. I will continue over the next while to upload some new resources that I’ve put together, so I’d encourage teachers to keep up to date with developments on the site by subscribing to the site via email on the top right of the website. This means that if new resources are uploaded onto the site, you will receive one email per day letting you know about new uploads. You can also follow Seomra Ranga on Twitter or Facebook to keep up to date.

Finally, if you have Christmas resources that you have created and are willing to share them with others, please email them as an attachment to me at info@nollaigshona.ie
